What happens to the decals, and which ones are transformed into the DARKSIDE?

Easton's proprietary DublVzn graphic technology causes the light top layer of the chrome silver decals to gradually "wear away" over time with each hit, revealing the red graphics below. Only the chrome logo and decal on the front side of the bat have been infused with the technology. The underlying red surface-level logos and all other chrome graphics are not affected and remain intact and legible, including any Key Graphic Information required for USSSR play (i.e., the USSSA 1.15 BPF certification mark, the bat's serial number, model name, ond manufacturer name).

Is this bat legal?

Yes, this bat is certified for USSSA play at the 1.15 BPF performance standard. Easton has worked with USSSA to educate umpires on the changing graphic, specifically, that it is by design and has been reviewed and approved by USSSA. USSSA has instructed umpires to refrain from removing the bat from play solely because its graphics appear to be changing color. However, the bat's eligibility may be questioned if lose paint flakes remain partially attached to the bat. In such event, simply remove them with your finger before play. Standard umpire discretion on bat condition still applies.

Does this impact performance?

No, the DublVzn technology does not impact or have any effect on the bat's performance, structural integrity, or certification status whatsoever. The unique, graphic-revealing feature is entirely cosmetic...ond other worldly.
