Best softball/baseball swing training aid available! Fool proof and budget friendly! A+++++
I'm a firm believe that reps are king when working on hitting. The SWINGRAIL provides a high rep opportunity all while enforcing nearly perfect swing mechanics. Not only will it eliminate hitches, but a player can get quality reps regardless of field conditions, cage availability, or someone to pitch to you. If your player owns/uses a SWINGRAIL they will become a better hitter. We saw this first hand with our local middle school. We had several players that had minimal experience with fast-pitch, but after several weeks of SWINGRAIL work, all of our players started keeping the barrel in the zone and making solid contact. IT WORKS - 100%. The only way this product fails your hitter; is not having one in your hitter's bat bag for them to use!
Awesome...Just simply works!
So typically when I see baseball training aides, I tend to get really excited about it, read the reviews and become less enthusiastic and end up just moving on. But this thing caught my eye. My son had been a decent contact hitter, but really wasn't powering the ball. He casted his hands out which in turn was a using no true mechanics in his swing other than just swinging. Bought this, and within the first 10 minute session, I could see his swing change. I recorded, and watched them side by side, just to see if I was truly seeing what I thought I was. It was actually working. Something so simple, had completely changed his swing. My son uses the swing rail about two-three times a week working off the tee, and then on game days, we usually takes 10-15 cuts with it when warming up. Im telling you the difference this has made, his confidence at the plate and overall allowing him to see his potential for power... Can't say enough about this product!
Swingrail has great potential -- Watch the set up instructions for better ease of usage the first time!
I am a middle school girls softball coach with some new girls that have never played ball. They chop at it or scoop (catching butterflies or golfing) and just seem weak at getting a great stroke across the plate. After using Swingrail they are clearly better at batting. Sure, the first time putting it on them I had to work out the angle of the strap (so I watched the instructional tape again) but it got easier with each girl. It allowed them to FEEL how their arms are supposed to be while swinging. I saw improvement the same day and they didn't even take 100's of dry swings or Wiffle ball/tee swings. After 10+ on the tee, they moved to my station of soft toss and it was night and day! they were almost to 100 % correct alignment with their stroke and hit the ball well. If you can use it on young, non-experienced fastpitch softball players (grades 7 -8) then I'm sure you will find it helpful with whatever ball player you use it with.
His HS coach said I should send it back and that he didn't really like the SwingRail
Bought this for my son who plays 16u Babe Ruth and HS ball. His HS coach said I should send it back and that he didn't really like the SwingRail. I decided it couldn't hurt to check it out. At first my son was resistant because of what his coach had said. I convinced him a month ago to start with just some dry cuts, nice and slow and then gradually increase his swing as he got used to it. 3 weeks into doing around 50 dry cuts a day and he has moved from batting 7th to lead off for his 16u team. Not sure what his coach didn't like, but my son is loving this thing!!
Maybe not for younger players with no patience but try to make them stick with it
Funny story...My son is a small 11u player. He casts but just a little and not every swing, very nice swing but slightly out from his body. Bought this to correct that slight issue, and I can see this working to fix it over time but the funny part is when he takes a fast swing and casts the Velcro breaks and the strap slaps him right in his face!!! I fell off the bucket laughing the first time because that is instant feedback If I ever seen it!! He is not a fan yet but I did see a slight improvement after my amusement and had him do slow dry swings for about 10 min before we did tee work without the device. We will continue with the dry swing in slower motion before I subject him to the next beatdown. 2nd day update....after having my son read some.of these reviews and him seeing some detailed success stories he was willing to put in work and gave it another chance... so today before his team practice I had him do 50 dry swings slowly, he finished with about 15 dry fast swings and guess what.....He swung without triggering the feedback. He was excited. We went to practice and he hit so well the coach asked me if I had him do private batting lesson with a hitting coach. His teammates were making comments about how hard and far he was hitting the ball every swing. He has never put together that type of show so I am gonna give it a 5th star and highly recommend this to anyone from 60lbs and up. 3mo update....Well my son leads his team in BA, SLG, OBP, and contact %. He plays 11u travelball on a fairly good team and is the 2nd to smallest player out there. He is also playing up at 12u for some tournaments and is outhitting the bigger, older kids. And I give most of the credit to this product. It has fine tuned his swing to make all aspects better and more consistant. He uses this product everyday by himself in the cage off a tee and almost never triggers the device anymore. He will do Tee, soft toss and front toss with it on just to challenge himself. I can see how a kid that is rough with mechanics may quit before giving it a chance but try to convince them to stick it out because it will help if you allow enough time to build that muscle memory.
