Saved my thumb for three full seasons.

I used this product extensively throughout my baseball career, both as a starting and backup catcher. Several times on low offspeed pitches or fastballs down in the zone my thumb would get jammed as I worked to frame the pitch. I tried switching gloves, working my frames differently, everything until I stumbled upon this product. The guard was definitely effective, and I got used to having it in my glove after just a few innings. What helped is that I molded it to fit with the glove as well as my thumb, so it felt like a more natural fit than me just squeezing the guard in. Worked excellent in game and during bullpens, and prevented further injury to my thumb. Originally posted on evoshield.com

10 Year old son loved it!

I bought this for my son after jamming his thumb in practice a few different times. after getting this ,not once the rest of the season did he have problems. He did out grow it and he has asked I get him a new one. Highly recommend. Originally posted on evoshield.com

Could not recommend more

I was a full time catcher in high school, summer, and fall ball, catching 80+ games/year. I would always stumble into catching a pitch wrong and having a foul ball bend my thumb back and it’s a pain that makes it almost impossible to play. Not sure why the reviews here are so bad. I loved this thing and there is no question that it prevented injury for me. Sometimes if I caught a pitch slightly wrong or had a foul ball come at my thumb it would give and move off my thumb but it was never a big deal. After using it I never felt comfortable catching without it. Originally posted on evoshield.com
