If you have a child who like baseball or softball, they need one of these. It has saved me from fetching balls endlessly. It’s easy to disassemble and take to practice field. It was durable and lasted for three seasons without seeing too much wear and tear.

Was looking for a net easy to setup and take down that could be used in the garage for soft-toss with baseballs instead of whiffle balls. This one is perfect. It is very sturdy and does not move even on the smooth concrete garage floor. Made with heavy duty metal frame that connects together in second with spring latches. It absorbs the hit balls with ease. Comes with a reinforced carrying bag. This gets used in my little league practice all the time now. Avoid the quick pop-up nets they fall over, frames bend and just a pain. Also this thing is BIG! 7x7 provides a really good coverage to hit into.

This net is extremely easy to put together, so easy that they do not include instructions... The net is extremely sturdy and will not knock over even if a professional baseball players is hitting into it in a wind storm, impossible, it is that well designed. The big mouth net is nice as you can hit 50 or so balls into it and they all go to the same spot, so you save time digging around, picking up the baseballs. I recommend, if you don't already have one, to buy a tee to go along with the net - this way when your player is alone or you get tired of soft toss they can do tee-work. The netting itself is the only thing that may not last forever. It seems like a normal net, not thick at all. This net can snag or rip, however just hitting baseballs into it won't harm the net. However I will not leave this out in the rain for too long and I will remain mindful to not let kids stand or knell on it. What you are paying for here is the design, the materials are not super strength but the design is superior. When together it looks like a $60 net, but the ease of putting it away when you're done should make it last twice as long and the ease of taking it out should make you want to use it twice as much. This net is also be great for throwing into - great for working on pitching strength or you can set it up as your first basemen and have kids throw from all infield positions into the big mouth, or place at home and have your outfielders practice throws. There is a pitching target that I bough for it too - the target is over priced as well ($20) but again, you are paying for the convenience of a perfect design. This is the best hitting net out there, just buy it, take care of it and use it a lot. Get creative, look on youtube for baseball drills, and start your own little clinic to make your player a better ball player.

I have had several batting/throwing nets, including the Jugs, and this is quite simply the best for a number of reasons: 1. The sturdiest net that I have found. Only takes two stakes to hold it down and be fully functional even in very high winds. The Jugs net has to be positioned just so in the right direction or the wind can blow it down or at least make it very difficult to catch balls. 2. Very easy to put up and take down. Compared to the Jugs net this is way more simple. The Jugs can be very difficult, stores in a large bag and therefore takes up a lot of space. This folds up into about the same size as a folding lawn chair. 3. Costs less but is built every bit as strongly as the much more expensive Jugs net. My boys really put this net through its paces with hitting and pitching and it comes out perfectly. All in all, I cannot recommend any net higher than this one.

If you are a baseball coach and have room in your budget, I strongly recommend that you buy this net. I coach a couple travel teams, and we needed a net for tee work and for soft toss before games, so the net had to be portable, and be quick and easy to set up and take down. This net is fantastic in both areas. We have used the round pop-up nets in the past (which I hate), and this net is infinitely superior. It is not only easier to set up, but has a larger and square net, so it does a much better job of catching balls. The sock net feature is also fantastic for collecting balls. As an added bonus, we are also able to use it as a backstop when warming up pitchers at games and as a practice safety net at practices when we have multiple drills (and balls) going on simultaneously. I own one for each team. Great product at a good price. Also, it really does set up in under 2 minutes as advertised.
