THE SCIENCE

We’ve developed the most revolutionary hitting training aid through the use of physics. Placing the weight on the knob end of the baseball bat or softball bat allows the bat to get to the proper swing path early on. This hitting aid increases your angular velocity (and angular momentum) as the barrel whips through the swing zone.

Studies show that adding weight like a donut or a sleeve to the barrel of a bat not only decreases the hitter’s bat speed once the weight is removed but also creates casting in the player’s swing.

THE DIFFERENCE

The solution is to add weight to the knob of the bat rather than the barrel, as this decreases the moment of inertia and increases bat speed.

By adding weight to the knob, it trains the batter to swing the knob of the bat, not the barrel, keeping the hitter’s hands inside the baseball or softball. This allows the barrel of the bat to get on the correct path early on and stay in the zone throughout the swing, creating a whip-like motion with the barrel.

I recommend this product

Great product!

I ordered this for my 8-year old son who’s played some seasons in tee-ball and now little league. I keep trying to teach him how to swing the handle to whip the barrel around and found this device while doing some research online. I had him take some dry swings with it on and his reaction when we took it off was jaw-dropping and you could see it clicked with him. We got him the 8oz one now (he’s only 7) and as he gets older/stronger, I’ll definitely order the heavier ones. We’ve done some tee work and some light work with live hits with it on, but overall just diggin’ the overall concept of this training aid! It’s great as it’s exactly what I’ve been trying to teach him fundamentally and instill in his mind when he’s swinging and at-bat, and wanted something that would lay the foundation down for a solid base/swing as he gets older and continues to play the game. I strongly recommend this and have already talked/shown this to some of the parents on his team!

More effective than donuts

The knob works great. It puts the extra weight next to your hands, rather than on the barrel of the bat, like a typical donut. I feel like this is more effective in improving bat speed while making it easier to maintain proper mechanics. Because it's not on the barrel, you could also use it while hitting, if you wanted to. A little overpriced, but it was still a great purchase.

Smart and durable

Very smart product! My son immediately took to it and I can see the “coolness “ of it being able to click on and off for practice. He likes it way better than a sleeve, but it’s not really comparable. Can’t wait to see the results over time!

Great tool for immediate feedback on swings

As a high school coach I love this product. Players today are often reliant on constant feedback from a coach and left struggling to make adjustments as they get older. This product is a coaches best friend. It provides feedback in a way more valuable to a player than any coach can provide. It allows them to feel the correct path to the ball and commit it to memory. I saw in 6 weeks a team improve their attack angle to the ball by taking 30 swings a day with the hitting knob.

Effective way to correct swing path and head speed

Since using this product I've created the one thing I was missing, Lift. I was constantly slamming hard ground balls. Started the season games 1-6 zero extra base hits. Week 5.5 is when I started to use the product. I was in a bad slump 5 and 6. From weeks 7- 12 I hit 6 doubles and 1 dinger. Softball always a Contact hitter now this season I've put 5 over in 4 games. Be careful there are different sizes to this product. Wood bats have typically deeper tapers and they have the knob for the different styles. Best to contact them directly.
