BANNED: Perfect Game bans Hype Fire (-5)

As of 4/8/24 Perfect Game has banned the Drop 5 (-5) Easton Hype Fire bats from play. Drop 8 (-8) & Drop 10 (-10) Hype Fire's are still legal for play. This is ONLY for Perfect Game events. USSSA and other sanctioning baseball bodies have not banned the Hype Fire.

Release from Perfect Game:

"Safety and integrity of the game are two major factors at Perfect Game events, and with the implementation of the following changes, we are taking steps to provide an updated and premier experience on the baseball field. Perfect Game is currently investigating the Easton – Hype Fire Bat for its safety and integrity, even though it is currently still certified by its manufacturer."

Effective April 8, 2024, the below Easton – Hype Fire Bats are suspended and may not be used in Perfect Game events until further notice.

  • 2023 Easton Hype Fire 2¾" USSSA Bat 2024 (-5)

  • 2024 Easton Hype Fire 2¾" USSSA Bat 2024 (-5) All Sizes 

    • 30”/25oz

    • 31”/26oz

    • 32”/27oz

 

IMPORTANT NOTE As of 4/8/24:

  • ALL other Sizes of the Hype Fire are ALLOWED in Perfect Game play.
  • ALL Sizes of Hype Fire are ALLOWED in USSSA and other associated play including the Drop 5.
